i’m slow sometimes, apparently a friend o’ mine, lets call him matt, was pimpin the roadside graves sometime ago. now, he says it was “like 8 months ago” but it was probably like 2 weeks ago. needless to say i didnt pay much attention until another lovely young lady, lets call her tet, happened to mention them today. since i was bored at work i figured i would check em out.the first thing i noticed/heard about the roadside graves was the blatant geto boys influence. secondly, i’ll be damned if this guy doesnt sound like a young dylan. musically/lyrically they remind me of softer, more acoustic side of modest mouse - like bukowski or jesus christ was an only child. anyway, if the four tracks are any indication on how solid the record is, color me impressed.reverend blue jeansdry statecheck out their myspace page for other stuff
