if i were ever to kick someone’s ass, the soundtrack to said ass whoppin would have to be rocket from the crypt’s scream dracula scream. this is not a violent record by any means, but to me its the sound of struggling - i dont know really what that means but listen and maybe you’ll pick up what i am putting down. its probably one of the best no bullshit, balls to the wall rock records to come out in the past 20 years. it walks a very thin tight rope between serious and tounge in cheek, both they do very well. it will not only make you want to raise your fists, but will also make you want to shake your ass. resist any attempts at playing air saxophone no matter how much you may want to.born in 69 on a ropeusedrocket from the crypt have disbanded, unfortunately, but you can check out the hot snakes, who have also disbanded, i believe - and if you are feeling really adventurous check out drive like jehu. i cant remember are they related?
